The Greek language uses three prepositions to describe our experience with the Holy Spirit: PARA, EN, and EPI.
1. Before we gave our lives to the Lord, we experience the Holy Spirit in the PARA.
Para in the Greek means “WITH.”
2. When we become Christians, we experience the Holy Spirit in the EN.
En in the Greek means “IN.”
3. The third way we experience the Holy Spirit is EPI.
Epi in the Greek means “UPON” and is often referred to as the BAPTISM of the Holy Spirit.
Every person who has BELIEVED in Christ.

When we pray with our KNOWN LANGUAGE, we LIMIT the scope and power of our prayers to the limits of our own KNOWLEDGE.
When we pray IN TONGUES (sometimes called our “prayer language”) the HOLY SPIRIT IS praying His PERFECT KNOWLEDGE and DIRECTION through you!
It takes FAITH and ACTION to release the flow of this gift in your life.
Notice that the PEOPLE did the speaking while the SPIRIT gave the utterance (words to speak).
